Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Hello, everyone! This is the last post through whole semester. Time passes quickly… By the way, as I said before, I am going to write about a new book. That is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I have just started to read this book, so I cannot tell many about story. However, I have read it one year ago, so I am going to tell my impression.

I really like this story. Before I read this book, I had watched the movie. It was very exciting, so I tried reading the book. The book also excites me! I would like to visit Mr. Wonka’s factory!

Murder on the Orient Express ~part 3~

Hello, everyone! This time, I am going to write about my favorite character in Murder on the Orient Express.

My favorite character is Hercule Poirot. He is a very clever detective. He has solved difficult affairs through his life. In addition, he can speak French! I learned it when I was a freshman, but I cannot speak it, so I admire his ability. At the same time, what he says and behave are peculiar. For example, he uses a pair of curling tongs for his moustaches. In fact, he has the great moustaches. I like his such a behavior.

In next post, I am going to write about another book.

Murder on the Orient Express ~part 2~

Hello, everyone! I am going to write about more stories of Murder on the Orient Express.

Hercule Poirot is on the Orient Express. In addition, 14 passengers are also in the same train. One of them is Poirot’s friend, Mr. Bouc. At one night, it is heavy snow, so train stops, and one of passenger, Mr. Ratchett, is murdered. The window in Mr. Ratchett’s room is opened, but there is no trace on snow, so the murderer is with passengers – on the train…

Now, Poirot tries to solve this affair.

I would like to talk more, but as I said, I cannot allocate many to this story, and this story is complex. In addition, there is unexpected murder, so I recommend you to read or watch some movies by yourself!

Murdur on the Orient Express

Hello, guys! As I said on the last post, from this time, I am going to write about my new book: Murder on the Orient Express. This is one of famous books written by Agatha Christie. The reason I chose this book is that I like mystery stories. As you see, I have written about Alice’s stories many times, so I can allocate little to this book.

First of all, I am going to write about the setting of this book.

The story begins on a winter’s morning in Syria. One detective, Hercule Poirot(ポワロ), has just finished to solve an affair in Syria, so he gets the train named Taurus Express on the morning to leave there. Then, he gets off the train in Stamboul(the old name of Istanbul). He planned to stay at a hotel in Stamboul, but there he gets telegram saying another affair happens in London, so he has to leave for London that night. He gets a ticket of Orient Express and leave Stamboul. Now, his journey on Orient Express has just begun.

Diary of Alice

Hello, everyone! How’s it going? I should have started studying earlier…  By the way, today I am going to write a diary of Alice. The situation is the day Alice has that dream.

I saw a wonderful but strange dream. When I was looking into looking-glass, it melted, and I went into looking-glass! It was unbelievable! What is more, the looking-glass world is like chessboard.
At the first part of the dream, the Red Queen said that I could be a pawn and be finally a queen! I wanted to be a queen, so I tried what the Red Queen told me. And, how pleased it was, I became a queen!
What I saw and experienced in the dream were strange, but it was nice experience.

This post is over. From next post, I am going to write about another book!

Through the Looking-Glass ~part 6~

Hi, guys! This time, I am going to write about ending of this book and a gift I would like to give Alice.

Alice continues to travel in this strange Looking-glass world, and at last she becomes a queen!

She holds a big party!

However, all her travels in the world are also her dream.

Now, the story has finished. This book has a lot of poetry, so you can enjoy not only Alice’s stories but also those poetry! I recommend you.

Next, I am going to write about a gift for Alice and why I chose it.

What I would like to give her are many books having beautiful pictures and interesting conversation.

I think Alice has wonderful imagination and like books, so if I gave her a lot of books, they would entertain her.

Through the Looking-Glass ~part 5~

Hello, everyone! As I said before I am going to write about my favorite situation of Alice and Humpty Dumpty.

When Alice meets Humpty Dumpty, she says to him, “what a beautiful belt you’ve got on!” However, what Humpty Dumpty puts on is not belt but cravat! Alice notices that and says, “a beautiful cravat, I should have said – no, a belt, I mean – I beg your pardon!”, but it is too late. Humpty Dumpty is angry…

I understand why she describes that as a belt because Humpty Dumpty looks like an egg (you know), and it is difficult to tell neck from waist!

It was pity that Alice offends Humpty Dumpty, but this conversation made me fun!
